In November of 2023, I purchased the Lasermax (LMS-G4-17G) Green Guide Rod Laser for my Glock 17 Gen 4. I really enjoy the product, however, after installing the laser I noticed that the Lasermax has a delayed response turning on or doesn’t turn on at all when I depress the Lasermax slide lock/laser switch from the right side of the frame. Moreover, when I depress the switch from the left side of the frame it seems to work fine. I immediately contacted Lasermax who advised that the issue may be with the battery cap and they immediately shipped out a replacement cap at no charge. I replaced the cap and the problem seemed to resolve itself. However, after testing the Lasermax at the range – the same problem reoccurred. I enjoy the product, however after paying $329.00 for the product I believe that I received a used and/or refurbished Lasermax as the box it arrived in appeared to be repackaged.

The laser guide road is amazing. Easy to install. Easy to use. The supplier is great.

Ordered the unit for the gen4 Glock 19 with the green laser and was stoked for it to arrive. Put it in the gun and it seemed to work great. It seemed to glitch a little bit dry firing, but I thought maybe it somehow needed live rounds for proper operation.
Unfortunately, when I took it to the range for the first time, the laser would randomly turn off. I had further issues and ended up returning the unit after multiple calls with support, and a replacement battery cap was sent (free of charge) but failed to make a difference.
To save space, the part returned to me exhibiting the same behaviors, was sent back again, and returned again with the same behavior. It now sits on my shelf, as I can’t in good conscience sell this to some unsuspecting person, and apparently cannot get the unit replaced. Last conversation with support asked for it to once again be returned, but I’m not sure what a third trip back to them will do that the first two hadn’ t.
And I did request a replacement, but was told that wasn’t possible. Only a repair if I sent it back again. Really wish this was reliable, but has made for a better paperweight than anything else.
