After using the guide rod green laser aimer for ten plus years, I have found it invaluable as my primary aiming system for personal defense. My aimer is off by less than an inch at 20 feet, which is the maximum distance I want to consider shooting defensively. Any farther and I use the iron sights, which used to be my primary method of aiming. I don’t have anything bad to say about the laser, it has stood the test of time. I do have two issues: 1, I can’t check the battery status, so have changed the batteries more frequently than probably necessary, and 2, I find the on/off switch to be difficult to manipulate.
At first I didn’t like the strobing of the laser light, but have come to realize that for me at least it helps my eye pick up the laser when there are competing light sources. I have become attuned to it now, and pick it up very quickly, even when my weapon is not presented completely.
The price of a new laser seems a bit exorbitant for an item that is past it;s early production, but I would pay it again if I didn’t have this laser already.
I recommend the Lasermax Guide Rod laser aimer to anyone.

Nice product with good reviews. Seems overpriced in today’s competitive market though.

During a disassembly of my Glock 19, the guiderod spring flew out causing all batteries and the diode to fly everywhere!

I’ve had this laser over a year, had no problems with it at all. The battery is still going strong. I believe this is an invaluable tool to assist in night shooting. Im here now on this website buying one for my new Glock.

This is my 3rd Laser Max. My first was over 20 years ago with the Red Laser on a Glock 17. This was the guide rod where the spring was separate part from the laser rod. I replaced that one about 6 years ago with a green laser single piece. I recently bought a green laser guide rod for my Glock 19. They are accurate and easy to use. I’m very happy with their use. Plus the gun fits into a normal holster which I like.

The item was very easy to install. The kit came with instructions and you could watch a video also. Great product.

After using my brand new Glock 19 and having excellent performance, I installed the Lasermax. Every other round jammed while attempting to practice at a range. Took the device out and reinstalled the OEM equipment and went through 200 rounds without any jams.

Love shooting my Glock even more now.

I love the laser, it is very accurate, but the wrong sized takedown spring was delivered with the laser. The provided spring was too large and would not fit into the weapon. Fortunately, I had another, correct fitting takedown spring from a previously purchased Lasermax guide rod laser that fit my weapon perfectly. I double checked, and I did order the correct laser for my Gen 3 Glock 19, per the website’s instructions.

Battery life of this laser is quite poor. I have only had it installed for about a week and it’s completely useless now $320.00 down the drain.

I have one and the front laser portion broke, now this one eats batteries by the month. NEVER again!!!!!!
This is the third set of $31.00 battery pack this year. Just get a Red Dot sight.

Won’t work for my gun. The spring on the laser is to stiff to allow good ejection of the case from my Gen 1 Glock 23. Apparently, these things can’t come with different springs that will work with your specific gun. It would be nice if you could change the spring or order it with a spring that would work. As it is, considering how far laser technology has come and that the price of these things have only gone up instead of going down like technology does, this was a complete waste of money for me.
